Never liked the Concord nor military fighter's. Froggies allows military but NOT combat missions. All military needs to be supply and recon. Weapons not allowed!

I admit that I love to fly some fighters in server But the Concorde was only civil supersonic airplane. The trip was really very expensive, around 10 k$ but trip from NY to London or Paris lasted less than 3h. There is no known military use of Concorde except maybe in some movies ... .

I flew the concorde back when it was a stock aircraft with the then new FS2K pro edition. The plane was fairly easy to take off and fly. The challenge was landing. Fuel balancing was not automatic in the Concorde. You could easily get your aircraft out of balance, which was bad. The Concorde also did not have flaps, which meant high landing speeds. The thrust reversers would not engage until all gear was on the ground. Which meant instead of leaving the aircraft in a nose high attitude to bleed off speed, you had to get the nose down quickly, jam on the brakes and get the reversers going before you ran out of runway.
After multiple attempts at landing, I found that a full instrument auto pilot on landing was the only way I could get this big fast bird down intact. Long runways are a must. Your vision is severely impared due to the extreme angle of attack needed for landing. On the real aircraft, the nose cone lowers down so that you can see to take off and land. Not so FS2K. At the time I was based at KSLN for pilot training school ('90-'92. Started with MSFS 2.0), so that is where I brought all my virtual aircraft until I moved to 9K8 in '02. The longest runway there is RWY 18/35 at a length of a little over 12,000 ft. Which was also the shortest runway I had attempted to land the Concorde at. Instrument approach on autopilot, turning the autopilot off just before touchdown to fully flare. Get the throttle cut, nose down, brakes on and the reversers on. I stopped approximately 50 feet of the end of the runway. Very challenging plane to fly. Master this plane, and most other aircraft will likely feel much more tame in comparison. Again, fuel balancing is critical. Landing will otherwise be..... Interesting.

Just a remark about the reversers usage on Concorde. On the real one reversers were usable inflight, but it's not simulated on FS. An other aircraft is able to do that : the Douglas DC8 (only on engines 2 and 3 with an idle thrust); not simulated too.
