Hey guys, I have decided to take my leave, and search for another VA. I think I have waited long enough for things to get moving. I will not delete my account here, in the event that things get figured out. I will also check in once in a while just in case, and just because. I left my account set up to ping me if someone leaves a message. Thank you for having me, and being such a great bunch of people. I hope to see you around. I also hope this VA can get back off the ground. I enjoyed being here. Jon Culver FRG013

I get you man. If you want, try MaxFreight, that's the VA I'm with. We don't do much on its forum, but it has quite a few members and multiple hubs, I'd say a couple dozen, and it's been around for over 20 years now.

Thanks for the info Devon! I have been a member of Max Freight almost as long as I have been here. Probably within 2 weeks or so. KMDW is my hub. I went to flight school at the same the same time and the same school (small world!) as John Butler, the hub manager and current CEO. They are a good bunch of people, just like here. And I enjoy flying with them. Thank you again for the suggestion. Jon

Oh cool! I'm with the Orlando hub. I joined then when the majority of people here were still with them, and then stuff happened, I still have no idea why they were kicked off, but then they started this VA.

It is taking awhile as it has not been updated since December and I am the only active admin. Froggie is helping her mother recover from a stroke in Texas with no internet. Troy is in medical rehab and my not ever get out. I have not had any contact with Ashley. All I ask is please bear with me! Keep sending your PIREP's as I am actively adding them to the roster and I hope to be completely caught up by this weekend if all goes well and as planed.

Man, am I ever glad to hear that! I joined Platinum air, it's pretty decent, but it's got nothing on what seems to me to be a more family style bunch that we have here. I will be glad to come back full time. Thank you, Steve. I have only flown 3 times since my last pirep with Froggie Air livery(not reported yet). The flights I have been doing for Platinum Air have all been offline Canadian Express challenge flights I got off flightsim, done with a DC-4 that I "borrowed" from Max Freight! This way there is no double dipping. Trying to keep 3 flights going with 3 different aircraft for 3 different VA's is taxxing on the ol' nutshell! I have a lot of paperwork to help me keep everything seperate and logged correctly for each VA. On another note, I had a computer built for me a couple of months ago so that I can get online, and fly with people in realtime. It is a real learning curve for me, as the last operating system I had was Windows XP. And this "10" is a bit different. So once I get it all figured out, and am comfortable using it, I plan to be in the air with live air traffic. The guy who built it said the video card he put in it should give me much better framerates than I am currently getting by far. Yaaaay! Have a great rest of your weekend! Jon FRG013

Ironhorse, as I have said, it is my hope that you and others stay but I fully understand if you do not want to. What ever VA's you choose to fly just remember that it's a hobby and NOT a job! Rule #1 is HAVE FUN!!! As for "Double-Dipping", most VA's will remove you for that. As far as paper log's I have always used them in case of PIREP problem. I have written logs from as far back as 15 years! Some I kept as to calculate total life hours as many VA's I have been with no longer exist! What ever you decide, have fun and keep in touch. Angie should be back some time early August. '

I plan on staying, I will just be pretty sporadic until I get my new computer all set up. I agree about getting kicked for double dipping. It's another reason why I keep paperwork. One for here, one for Max Freight, and one for Platinum Air. That way if there is ever doubt, I have a paper trail. Besides, cheating would only be fooling myself. Who am I gonna impress? Anyhoo, I will see y'all around. Have a good week! Jon

Ironhorse, As far as paper log's I have always used them in case of PIREP problem. I have written logs from as far back as 15 years! Some I kept as to calculate total life hours as many VA's I have been with no longer exist! ' I use flightmemory.com to have a graphical list / map of my flights, but as Steve stated, sites shut down all the time without warning. Yes, I write all flights on paper AND in a spreadsheet log. You can use a copy of the Froggie Air spreadsheet as a personal logbook also. I would rename it though as I don't think Admin would appreciate your complete logbook as a PIREP! LOL

I considered using flightmemory, just haven't gotten around to exploring the option yet. I got to thinking, that if I had paper trailed all the flight sim flying I have done since my flight sim 2.0 in 1991, that I would have a lot of paper laying around! 😂😂😂

Three pages of log from SimAirlines.net closed over 10 yrs. ago. Some I have in Storage. All are going to TRASH.

[/quote] That's quite an accomplishment! You might consider converting them to a digital format, at least for your personal reference? The logs that I did make a paper copy of, I have neatly folded and tucked into the back of my little black logbook from flight school. 6 pages of numbers and silly remarks in the comments section. Hey, I was only 21....

Just a quick question. Steve, did you get my re-submission of those flights? Not angry, or anything. Just need to know if I need to or if you would like me to send them direct via email. Thanks! Jon
