Hello fellow aviators! I am a flightsim enthusiast since 1988 and began with games like 'F19 stealth fighter', 'Flight of the Intruder' and 'Falcon' on an Atari ST. I never got into real world aviation and never really had ambitions to do so, because I am considered to be a mental unstable character , wich is not favourable for high safety standards in aviation. Back in 2002 , a psychologist recommended to me to try FS2002. I did so and found flying civil sims gets me closer to the subject of aviation in any aspect. My closest 'encounter' with real world aviation was to sit down in a decommissioned MiG-21 in 1992 wich was on display here in Berlin, where I live. And yes, I have to admit I have stolen the compass of that aircraft as the screws were loose... The case was of blue-ish metal and slightly bent. Eventually, I lost it and there was no ebay at that time... I am a great fan of manned spacefare and got to meet Chris Hadfield a few years ago when he was to visit Berlin. I also took part in an ESA Webcast in 2014, when my submitted questions to ESA astronaut Samantha Christoforetti (who is my favourite astro) were selected to be answered live. It was very exciting for me. Now, I'm (hopefully) about to meet some great people of equal minded here in the pond, that share the love and dedication to flying and the spirit of friendship! Thanks for all your warm welcomes so far! Cya soon, Lobo (FRG029)

Welcome Lobo, Is your name/handle from the comicbook character Lobo? Just curious. I started flight simming later than you, but I believe that is because I didn't realize they had even "invented" a flight sim! I started out on "Jet" from Sublogic, somewhere in the late 80's. Somewhere during my flight training in the fall of 1990, I discovered MSFS 2.0 residing at the school library. I was hooked, and the rest, as they say, was history. I hope you will enjoy your stay with us, and if ever you have questions, just ask. Somebody will answer. -Jon FRG013
