Got a wild hair up my rear today while looking around online. Bandy this about, and see what the consensus is. During World War 2, there were jobs for pilots to fly newly built aircraft overseas by whatever means necessary to reach the front line resupply troops. So a pilot (one of many) would fly...say a B-17 over to England and drop it off at an airfield selected by the powers that be. The B-17 would then be handed off to whomever, and the pilot would return home to pick up another aircraft. Cycle resets.
Now, apply the theory to our little airline. Our painter is getting done with an aircraft, and wants a particular aircraft. Someone (bid, lucky number, short straw, bingo...whatever), flies to....say Wichita, Ks., for a Learjet, or Seattle, Wa., for a Boeing. Then ferries the aircraft to the field if the painters choice to be "painted."
Now, you can either just post the plane once it is painted for all to use....or continue the madness by having another member (same one, different one your choice) fly back to painters to pick up the newly painted aircraft and fly it to the hub of choice. Then it could be posted for all to use.
Just an idea to spice up your afternoon with some thought.

Thanks for posting an idea that may be considered. Also a "poker run" has been in consideration too. Logistic's need done for both idea's. I say up front that I like both idea's, but any kind of award would have to be forum profile as we have or maybe a new page on our main website. But here I must say that me nor any of my addmins./mod's want to deal with multiple re-paints of the same A/C! That WILL NOT happen. Instead we could use profile awards ? As for any official paints, scery etc.. that goes through FRG004-Troy as Fleet Director. Keep the idea's coming!
