ATIS will give you weather information as well as active runways for your destination airport. For some reason, ATIS is not available for FS9 in multiplayer. I found one suggestion that indicated it was part of the AI module. Anyway, for some time, I have been searching for a solution to this. Well, I found it.
In Multiplayer, enter the Frequency for the ATIS you want. Now, when in range, anywhere from 20 to 80 miles, pull up the Map page and either change aircraft heading by 1 degree or the time by one second. When you exit the map, ATIS should be active (if you are within range).
I found another way that I find easier. This ATIS activation also takes place when you "Refresh Scenery". I went into Keyboard assignments and assigned a key to that command and I simply press that key when I am in range of the ATIS I want. What happens is the screens black out for about a second and then come back WITH ATIS.
This seems to activate ATIS for either a specific period or until you are out of range. I have to do the procedure again for the next airport.
Hope this works for you.

ATIS is not available in multiplayer on FS9 as it is part of the built-in ATC. ATC is not available on multiplayer in FS9. Both of these are available on FSX multiplayer through FSHost as it is not the real FSX Multiplayer and it is connecting through another program to multiplayer.

OK. So it is unavailable because it is part of ATC rather than AI. But, I do get it back temporarily with this procedure, right? Did you try it?

Now my radar problem. The Active Sky manual states that a .dll file is auto-installed when adding Active Sky and can be toggled using CTRL+F12 yet I get no radar. Can someone point out the name of the .dll file and into what folder should it be placed?
